Eagle Day / The battle of Britain

At the centre of the story of the battle of Britain in 1940 stand two particular days – August 13^th – Eagle Day – and September 15^th. On Eagle Day, the long-awaited Luftwaffe assault on the RAF went horribly wrong. A month later, the German attacked in their greatest strength, but were met with a resistance so fierce it has now become a legendary.
